How does dental hygiene work at our clinic?
We use the EMS Airflow device
Experience gentle and painless tooth cleaning using the most modern technology. A stream of water, air, and fine powder removes dental plaque, pigmentation, and bacteria even from hard-to-reach places – safely for enamel, gums, and implants. The result? Smooth, clean, and brilliantly white teeth in just 30 minutes.
Initial examination and planning - The dental hygienist first assesses the condition of your gums, the amount of tartar, pigmentation, and any signs of inflammation. If necessary, she will perform a plaque index or use a special plaque stain to precisely determine where plaque accumulates. The visit also includes recommendations for proper brushing technique and suitable tools.
Removal of heavy tartar (if necessary) - If there is a larger buildup of tartar, we remove it with an ultrasonic Piezon device, which is part of the EMS system. The treatment is fast, gentle, and comfortable.
Airflow – main cleaning phase - Using a stream of water, air, and special powder, gentle removal of biofilm, pigmentation from coffee, tea, wine, or smoking, and other surface impurities occurs. The method is safe for enamel, crowns, implants, and sensitive areas.
Subgingival cleaning - For patients with periodontitis or implants, we use a special Perio-Flow attachment that cleans periodontal pockets and removes bacteria and biofilm. This step is important for preventing inflammation and tooth loss.
Polishing and fluoridation - After treatment, teeth are perfectly smooth, and traditional polishing is often not necessary. If needed, we apply fluoride gel or varnish to strengthen enamel and reduce sensitivity.
Home care instruction - At the end of your visit, you will receive recommendations for proper brushing technique, use of interdental brushes, and other preventive steps.
We use modern and effective GBT protocol
GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) is a modern and highly effective dental hygiene method aimed at removing bacterial plaque from the surface of teeth and gums. This protocol minimizes the invasiveness of treatment, protects healthy tissue, and at the same time provides maximum effectiveness.
GBT is popular for its gentleness, safety, and high effectiveness. It is especially suitable for patients with gum inflammation, periodontitis, or increased tartar formation.
Dental hygiene for children
A healthy smile is built from childhood. Children's teeth are more susceptible to cavities because they have thinner enamel and decay can spread faster than in adults.
Regular dental hygiene for children from age 4 helps keep both primary and permanent teeth healthy, promotes proper hygiene habits, and reduces the risk of painful procedures in the future.
During the visit, we gently remove plaque and tartar that cannot be removed by regular home brushing, and show children and parents the proper technique for caring for their teeth.
Early prevention helps prevent not only cavities but also bite problems. If the hygienist or dentist detects signs of improper tooth positioning, we recommend a consultation with our orthodontics specialist so that treatment can be started early.
Dental hygiene for children is gentle, painless, and adapted to their age. Bring your child for regular checkups and give them a healthy smile without worries.
