A new era of dental hygiene is here. The Guided Biofilm Therapy protocol, using the state-of-the-art EMS Airflow Prophylaxis Master device, offers the gentlest and most effective solution for your oral health. Explore the treatment steps that, thanks to Swiss precision and 'No Pain' technology, define the current standard of professional teeth cleaning.
This is how we do it at The Clinic: 8 steps to painless and precise dental hygiene.
-
Patient examination: Before the examination, the patient rinses their mouth with antiseptic mouthwash. Before starting the treatment, the dental hygienist assesses the clinical condition, examines the condition of the teeth, gums and periodontal tissues, and also examines the implants and surrounding tissues.
-
Detection, staining and visualisation of dental plaque: Before treatment begins, a special dye is applied to the teeth to visualise the biofilm (bacterial plaque). This allows us to identify problem areas that require special attention.
-
Motivation + cleaning technique instruction: The dental hygienist emphasises the importance of prevention and instructs the patient on home care, i.e. how to brush their teeth properly and what appropriate tools and cleaning techniques to use.
-
AIRFLOW EMS®: Uses a combination of air, powder particles and water to remove soft deposits and bacterial plaque from the surface of teeth and gums, including pigmentation in areas that are inaccessible to regular brushing. It is gentler on tooth enamel and gums than traditional methods.
-
PERIOFLOW: This method is aimed at deeper cleaning, especially in areas with advanced gum inflammation and periodontal pockets. It is ideal for patients with periodontitis.
-
Ultrasonic cleaning: Uses ultrasonic vibrations to remove hard deposits, tartar and bacterial plaque from the surface of the teeth and under the gums. This method is gentle but very effective.
-
Check-up: The dental hygienist will finally check that everything is nice and smooth, ensuring that all tartar has been removed using gentle hand instruments. Final check with EMS PLUS airflow powder. No depuration is necessary here - polishing with abrasive paste and a rotary brush.
-
