• Prevention of tooth decay: Regular removal of dental plaque and the use of fluoride toothpaste reduce the risk of tooth decay. An important part of dental hygiene is also educating patients about proper oral care and diet.

• Prevention of periodontitis: Periodontitis is a disease in which the tissue supporting the teeth is gradually lost. Regular brushing and removal of tartar and plaque minimises the risk of gum inflammation, which is the initial stage of periodontitis.

• Removal of tooth pigmentation: Pigmentation can be caused by consuming certain foods and beverages, smoking, or certain medications. During dental hygiene treatment, special instruments and techniques (e.g., Airflow) can be used to remove surface stains and restore the natural colour of your teeth.

• Removal of tartar: Tartar is hardened plaque that accumulates on the teeth. As part of dental hygiene treatment, we remove tartar using ultrasonic instruments.

• Removal of dental plaque from hard-to-reach areas: Dental plaque is a soft, sticky coating that contains bacteria and can lead to tooth decay and inflammatory gum disease (periodontitis). Using special instruments, we can remove plaque even from areas that you cannot reach yourself when cleaning your teeth at home.
