2-hour "white diet"
Immediately after dental hygiene, we recommend that you do not consume any strongly pigmented foods or drinks for at least 2 hours. Avoid the following in particular:
- Red wine.
- Coffee and black tea.
- Dark sauces (e.g. soy, tomato).
- Spicy and strongly coloured foods.
Focus on foods that are light in colour and do not contain strong colourings, such as white yoghurt, rice, pasta, white bread, chicken without coloured seasonings, or peeled bananas and apples.
Smoking
We recommend that smokers refrain from smoking for at least 24 hours after dental hygiene treatment. Smoking can significantly affect the final effect of whiter and smoother teeth.
Drinking regime
Drink plenty of clean water – it helps rehydrate the enamel and protects it from pigment penetration. If you do consume coloured food or drinks, we recommend rinsing your mouth or drinking water immediately afterwards.
Long-term results
By following the recommended restrictions, you will keep your teeth white, smooth and healthy for a long time. Enjoy the fresh feeling in your mouth and don't forget to visit your dental hygienist regularly – ideally every 3 months.
The best prevention
Professional removal of plaque and tartar is the best prevention against tooth decay and periodontitis. It will help prolong the life of your teeth and keep your smile healthy.
