Do you need to have a wisdom tooth removed quickly and painlessly?
Do you have an impacted wisdom tooth, an unerupted tooth affecting an adjacent tooth? Are you troubled by gum inflammation around your wisdom tooth? You're in the right place!
Under the guidance of oral surgeon MDDr. Tomáš Pražák, who conducts professional courses and seminars focused on gentle, quick, and painless wisdom tooth removal, every procedure is performed professionally with maximum emphasis on patient comfort. Healing is usually quick and without complications.
Our dental clinic in Prague is visited by patients from across the Czech Republic who are looking for painless wisdom tooth extraction in a pleasant and safe environment. We also offer an individual approach to anxious patients who are prevented by dental fear from addressing their problems. We also care for patients with health limitations or patients after unsuccessful treatment at another facility.
Wisdom tooth extraction is performed under local anesthesia with the option of general anesthesia in the presence of an anesthesiologist. You rest, we take care of removing all wisdom teeth, and you wake up after the procedure is complete. Experience with several thousand wisdom tooth extractions and the special philosophy of atraumatic surgery from our mentor from Korea, Prof. Dr. Youngsam Kim, form the basis of our results.
Reasons for wisdom tooth extraction
- Dental caries: If a tooth or tooth root is extensively affected by decay and cannot be saved with a filling or endodontics (root canal treatment).
- Broken tooth: If the tooth crown breaks below the gum line or if the root fractures.
- Lack of space: Most often with wisdom teeth that grow poorly or crowd other teeth.
- Extraction of an infected tooth: If infection causes a cyst under the tooth root. Such a focal infection can be dangerous for the heart and overall health. Early extraction prevents acute pain and emergency treatment.
- Dental trauma: In case of severe tooth injury (e.g., sports impact), extraction may be the only solution. We also offer immediate implantation so you don't remain without a tooth.
- Orthodontic reasons: An orthodontist sometimes recommends tooth extraction to create space when straightening teeth.
- Failed dental treatment: For example, when an instrument breaks in the canal, root perforation, or after failed endodontics. Often this involves extraction of dead or deteriorated teeth, or removal of remaining root.
- Dental cysts and tumors: If a cyst or tumor occurs, we extract the affected tooth.
How does wisdom tooth extraction work with us? Always quickly, safely, and painlessly.
- Before each extraction, we take a CBCT scan for the patient – a 3D dental CT scan allows us to precisely display the course of important nerves, blood vessels, and the position of curved roots.
- Local anesthesia that works 100% – the entire procedure is completely painless thanks to effective local anesthesia.
- Gentle approach with minimally invasive gum and bone flap elevation around the tooth – we minimize swelling, pain, and healing time.
- Gentle tooth sectioning and separation, no more prying – we remove the tooth in sections quickly, without unnecessary pressure and with maximum care for surrounding tissues.
- We resolve all common complications - for example, dry socket, bleeding, or retained root.
- To accelerate healing and reduce complications - we apply plasma from your own blood directly into the wound.
Extraction of unerupted wisdom teeth
The ideal age for addressing wisdom teeth is approximately from age 12. If wisdom teeth have not yet erupted, their removal is usually significantly simpler. The entire procedure takes approximately 5 to 30 minutes. Everything is done under local anesthesia, so the patient feels no pain.
How much does wisdom tooth extraction cost approximately
Simple extraction - Price from 2,500 CZK
Simple extraction is suitable for teeth that are visible in the oral cavity and have sufficient solid tooth tissue. During this procedure, the dentist uses a special tool called dental forceps. First, the area around the tooth is treated with local anesthesia to prevent pain. Then the tooth is carefully loosened and extracted.
Surgical extraction - Price from 3,500 CZK to 5,500 CZK
Surgical extraction is a more complex procedure used when the tooth is not visible or when it has a more complex root system - most often wisdom teeth or teeth that have broken. During surgical extraction, the patient may be given general anesthesia or local anesthesia. The surgeon makes an incision in the gum and, if necessary, removes part of the bone surrounding the tooth before extracting it.
Complex or fully impacted wisdom tooth lying on the nerve - Price from 5,500 CZK to 9,500 CZK
A very complex wisdom tooth that is impacted or grows outside standard anatomical conditions. Such a tooth must be carefully removed from the jaw frame or from under the facial bone.
After the procedure you will receive a special package
Contains: antibiotics (eReceipt), probiotics, anti-swelling medications, pain relievers (analgesics, diclofenac, ibuprofen, paracetamol), special oral water with chlorhexidine for wound disinfection (rinses from day 3 after extraction) and a cooling pad that helps reduce swelling.
