White Dental Fillings

How much does a white filling cost?

Modern white (composite) fillings are an aesthetic and gentle solution for tooth decay.

Modern white (composite) fillings are an aesthetic and gentle solution for tooth decay. Unlike older amalgam fillings, they blend in with the colour of the tooth and are virtually indistinguishable from healthy enamel. Many patients are therefore interested in the price of white fillings and whether they are covered by health insurance.

How much does a white filling cost?

The price of a white filling depends on several factors:

  • The size of the cavity and the extent of treatment.
  • The material and technology used.
  • The location of the tooth (incisor, canine, molar).

In general, the price of a white filling ranges from CZK 1,500 for smaller cavities to several thousand crowns for more extensive treatments. The exact calculation is always determined by the dentist after examination.

Does insurance cover white fillings?

Health insurance covers basic amalgam or glass ionomer fillings, usually on the back teeth. Aesthetic white fillings on visible teeth (incisors, canines, sometimes even smaller molars) may be partially covered. In other cases, the patient pays the difference.

Why is it worth investing in white fillings?

  • Natural appearance – the filling blends in with the surrounding tooth.
  • Long life and durability.
  • Safe, metal-free material.
  • Minimal damage to healthy tissue.

The price of a white filling depends on the size of the cavity and the material used. Although an additional payment is usually required, it is an investment in a healthy and beautiful smile that will pay off in the long run.
