Jana came to us with a combination of aesthetic and functional needs – unsatisfactory tooth position and older prosthetic work that no longer met aesthetic or hygiene criteria. She wanted a long-term solution that would last and look natural.
Orthodontic Preparation
The first step was orthodontic alignment of the teeth. Gentle repositioning of teeth into the correct position is key not only for the final appearance, but also for the long-term stability of future prosthetics and gum health. Without this preparation, the final crowns would not fit in an ideal bite.
Zirconia Prosthetics
Following the orthodontic phase came the fabrication of zirconia crowns. Zirconia is among the most durable and at the same time most aesthetic materials available – it contains no metal, is biocompatible, and naturally transmits light, so the result is indistinguishable from a natural tooth. The crowns were individually fabricated in the laboratory of Josef Hanžel (The Clinic LAB).
Result
The combination of orthodontics and modern prosthetics brought Jana a long-term stable smile with a natural appearance.
