A CEREC crown is a modern type of dental crown that is manufactured using digital technology directly in the dentist's office during a single visit. CEREC = Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics (loosely translated: "economical and aesthetic ceramic reconstruction directly at the dentist's chair").

How does a CEREC crown work?

  • The dentist scans your tooth with a digital scanner – no uncomfortable impressions in material.
  • The computer designs a custom-made crown based on the shape of your tooth and bite.
  • The crown is manufactured on site using a milling machine from a high-quality ceramic block.
  • The dentist will fit it during a single visit – no temporary replacements are needed.

What are the advantages of CEREC crowns?

  • Speed – done in a single day, without waiting for the dental laboratory.
  • Accuracy – digital scanning ensures maximum accuracy and comfort.
  • Aesthetics – the crown blends perfectly with your surrounding teeth and looks natural.
  • Comfort – no temporary crowns and no need for repeated visits.
