Teeth in Turkey: short-term savings, long-term problems
In recent years, we are increasingly encountering patients who have decided to undergo extensive dental procedures abroad – most often in Turkey. The main motivation is usually significantly lower prices. Unfortunately, low prices often mean high risk.
What really happens in foreign clinics?
Foreign dental tourism attracts with quick transformations and perfectly white smiles. But the reality that patients face upon their return is often much more complicated.
At The Clinic, we frequently treat clients who return from Turkey with complications: pain, inflammation, or damaged teeth. Many of them have full ceramic crowns placed, even though their original teeth were healthy.
Unnecessary tooth grinding = irreversible damage
One of the most common problems is aggressive tooth grinding. This approach can lead to loss of tooth vitality, the need for endodontic treatment, and in extreme cases, the need for extraction and implant placement.
Especially in young patients, this is an irreversible intervention with lifelong consequences.

Summary
If you are considering treatment outside the Czech Republic, we recommend gathering thorough information. A cheap offer may turn out to be not only financially more demanding – health-wise, it is also a risky choice.
