Dental Implants

What are titanium implants?

Titanium implants are currently the most common and reliable solution for tooth replacement.

Titanium implants are currently the most common and reliable solution for tooth replacement. They are made of pure titanium or titanium alloy – a metal that is extremely strong, lightweight and, above all, biocompatible, which means that it is very well accepted by the body.

How do titanium implants work?

  • A titanium "screw" is inserted into the jawbone.
  • The bone naturally grows around it (a process called osseointegration).
  • After healing, a crown is placed on the implant, which looks and functions like a natural tooth.

Advantages of titanium implants

  • Safe for the human body – minimal risk of allergy or rejection.
  • Very strong and durable material.
  • Promotes bone fusion.
  • Long service life – often for a lifetime.
  • Proven in medicine (e.g. orthopaedics) for decades.

Interesting fact

Titanium implants have been used since the 1960s and have a success rate of over 95%.
