Eat soft and lukewarm foods – avoid hot foods to prevent irritation of the wound.
Recommended foods: yoghurt, smoothies (not icy), porridge, pudding, room temperature soup.

You can gradually return to your normal diet if you have no pain or swelling. The following still applies: avoid extremely hard foods until your dentist confirms that the implant has fully healed.
Tips for quick healing of dental implants
- Eat plenty of protein (soft meat, eggs, dairy products) - they promote tissue regeneration.
- Get plenty of vitamin C (e.g. in kiwis, strawberries, peppers) – it speeds up gum healing.
- Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water, but without straws.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking – they slow down healing and increase the risk of complications.
