Oral surgery – specialised surgical procedures in the oral cavity led by experienced surgeons.
- Precise microsurgery under microscope.
- Digital planning and navigated surgery.
- Painless treatment even for anxious patients.
We perform a wide range of dental surgical procedures in Prague
Patients most often seek dental surgery for toothache, inflammation, cysts, complicated wisdom tooth extraction, exposure of a canine tooth on the palate for braces, or bone supplementation before dental implant placement.
At The Clinic, we provide comprehensive care in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. We use modern surgical procedures, precise digital planning, microsurgery under a microscope and the option of treatment under local anaesthesia, analgosedation or general anaesthesia under the supervision of an anaesthesiologist.
Our goal is a painless, gentle and aesthetically perfect solution to every problem.
When to see a dental surgeon
- Recurring tooth or gum pain.
- Swelling, sensitivity or inflammation in the root area.
- A tooth not growing into the correct position (most commonly a canine or wisdom tooth).
- Persistent problems after endodontic treatment or repeated inflammation around the root.
- Lack of bone for an implant.
- Preparation of teeth before braces or implants.
How we can help
Our clinic offers a complete range of surgical procedures in the oral cavity. Each procedure is planned based on examination, 3D imaging and consultation with a dental surgeon. We most commonly perform:
- Surgical tooth extraction – for example wisdom teeth or unerupted teeth.
- Bone preparation for implants – augmentation, sinus lift.
- Root tip resection – removal of inflammation around the root.
- Removal of cysts and inflammatory lesions.
- Soft tissue procedures – removal of frenula and growths.
Why choose The Clinic for dental surgery
- Specialized team of experienced surgeons: MUDr. Daniel Ott, MDDr. Lubomír Rudý, MDDr. Tomáš Pražák.
- Precise microsurgery under a microscope.
- Digital planning and navigated surgery.

- Individual approach emphasizing gentle, painless and minimally invasive treatment.
- International experience from internships in Munich, Bologna and Seoul, in the cradle of microsurgery and dental implants.
Painless treatment
All procedures are performed without pain. For anxious patients, children or longer procedures, we offer analgosedation or general anaesthesia under the supervision of an anaesthesiologist.
Additional dental surgery procedures
Bone preparation for dental implants (bone augmentation and sinus lift)
Bone preparation for dental implants (bone augmentation and sinus lift) is a solution for situations where there is not enough bone at the site of a missing tooth and an implant therefore cannot be placed safely. In such cases, we supplement the bone so that the implant has firm support and holds long-term. Bone augmentation means supplementing bone where it is lacking, where horizontal augmentation is performed when the bone is too narrow and lacks the necessary width, while vertical augmentation is necessary when the bone is too low and lacks height.
Sinus lift is a specific type of augmentation in the upper jaw in the molar area, where there is too little bone between the sinus cavity and the jaw, so the floor of the cavity is raised and bone is added. This makes it possible to place an implant even where it would otherwise not be possible. In some cases, bone supplementation can be combined with implant placement during a single visit; in other cases, the bone must first be supplemented and the implant placed after healing. We decide on the appropriate procedure based on examination and 3D imaging.
Removal of labial and sublingual frenulum
We modify both the labial and sublingual frenulum in children and adults. The procedure can help, for example, with limited tongue movement, pronunciation difficulties, discomfort when eating, or problems with the stability of dental prostheses. The procedure is quick, precise and performed under local anaesthesia.
Apical resection (resection of the root tip with cyst)
If conventional root canal treatment (endodontics) does not work or inflammation at the root keeps returning, we can often save the tooth surgically. During apical resection, we remove the root tip together with the inflammatory focus. The goal is to preserve the natural tooth and avoid extraction and subsequent replacement with an implant.
Solutions for edentulous jaws
We specialize in modern methods of fixed teeth on implants of the All-on-X type. You get teeth fixed permanently in one day, without the need for traditional removable dentures.
Exposure of canine tooth on the palate for braces (patefaction)
Patefaction is a procedure associated with orthodontic treatment when the canine tooth on the palate needs to be exposed. The tooth does not erupt into the correct position or cannot align into the arch among the surrounding teeth and remains hidden under the gum. We gently lift the gum, find the crown of the canine and bond an orthodontic bracket to it, which we prepare for the orthodontist so that it can be connected to the fitted braces. The treatment is performed under local anaesthesia, is painless and takes approximately 20 to 35 minutes.
Orthognathic surgery
In cases of severe jaw anomalies, we collaborate with orthodontists and maxillofacial surgeons. We help adjust jaw positioning for both functional and aesthetic reasons.
Gum and soft tissue surgery
Soft tissue microsurgery is an effective solution for exposed tooth necks and problems around implants. In the experienced hands of MDDr. Tomáš Pražák, gum grafts are a reliable aid for sensitive exposed necks, gum bleeding and stabilization of soft tissues around implants.
- Connective tissue or epithelial grafts around implants – to increase soft tissue volume and improve aesthetics, preventing metal or tooth root show-through.
- Surgical coverage of recessions – a solution for exposed tooth necks and a return to a healthy and natural smile.
- Gum regeneration – modern procedures for restoring damaged tissues.
