Preventive Examination

How often should you visit the dentist for preventive check-ups?

Regular preventive dental care is key to your health. We recommend visiting the dentist at least once a year.

Regular preventive dental care is key to your health — not only for your oral cavity, but for your entire body. Early detection of problems can save you not only pain and unpleasant procedures, but also considerable financial resources that you would otherwise spend on more expensive treatment. We recommend visiting the dentist at least once a year and regular dental hygiene every 6 months. At our clinic, we emphasize early problem detection and effective prevention so you can enjoy a healthy and beautiful smile for life.

How often should you visit the dentist and dental hygiene?

Preventive dental check-up should take place at least 1× per year — this is the minimum covered by health insurance. However, the ideal is a visit 2× per year, that is, every six months. Regular check-ups allow us to detect small cavities, beginning gum inflammation, or other problems in their early stages, when treatment is simple, quick, and painless. A natural part of comprehensive dental care is also a visit to dental hygiene once every 6 months. Professional tooth cleaning removes tartar and plaque from places that a regular toothbrush simply cannot reach.

Cooperation between the dentist and dental hygienist

During a dental hygiene visit, the hygienist will check the condition of your gums and teeth and assess whether there are any signs of cavities, periodontitis, or other problems. If any problem is detected, the hygienist will refer you to the dentist, who will perform a more detailed examination and suggest further steps. At our clinic, doctors and dental hygienists consult together, which ensures maximum prevention effectiveness. Thanks to this close cooperation, we are able to detect and resolve problems in time — often before they even start to limit the patient or cause pain. Regular prevention is thus the best investment in your healthy and confident smile.
